HYODINE

Wound Healing and Repairing Gel

Hyodine® is a 1.5% sodium hyaluronate wound healing gel specifically formulated for the management of acute and chronic wounds. It serves as a sterile, non-adherent, protective, and moisturizing wound care agent for deep wounds and skin lesions.

In this formulation, hyaluronic acid is designed to establish and maintain a moist wound environment that supports cell migration and cell viability, while facilitating the removal of excessive wound exudate. In addition, iodine and potassium iodide are incorporated to protect sodium hyaluronate from premature degradation by bacteria present within the wound.

Hyodine® is a novel therapeutic product for the treatment of chronic and complex wounds. Its therapeutic efficacy is based on the synergistic interaction between hyaluronic acid and the iodine complex.

Hyodine® forms a three-dimensional extracellular scaffold that surrounds the damaged tissues, facilitating the interaction of peptides and proteins with surrounding cells. By maintaining tissue hydration and enabling the delivery of growth factors from the surrounding dermal layer to the wound bed, it supports cell survival, promotes cellular migration into newly forming tissue, and facilitates the wound healing process.

● Hyodine® is indicated for cleansing, covering, and hydrating deep wounds and skin lesions, particularly pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, burns, post-surgical wounds, chronic non-healing wounds, and extensive abrasions.

● Hyodine® is also suitable for the management of infected wounds. Its hydrating properties help prevent wound dressings from adhering to the wound surface, thereby maintaining an optimal moist wound environment that promotes faster wound healing. The use of Hyodine® for infected wounds should always be undertaken under the supervision or upon the recommendation of a physician.

  • No adverse effects have been reported to date following the topical use of sodium hyaluronate. However, patients with thyroid disorders should consult their physician before using Hyodine®.

The iodine contained in this product may cause allergic reactions in individuals with known hypersensitivity to iodine. No other adverse reactions associated with the use of Hyodine® have been reported to date.

  4. Using gloved fingers, distribute Hyodine® throughout the dressing until it is thoroughly saturated.
  5. Cover with an appropriate secondary dressing.
  6. Depending on the wound condition, change the dressing every 24 hours for infected wounds or every 48 hours for non-infected wounds.
